MOUNT ARARAT TREK Hiking,Climb,Outdoor Adventures
Mount Ararat Turkish Ağri Daği (16,940 feet, 5165 m) is the largest volcano in Turkey. Although not currently active, its most recent eruption has probably been within the last 10,000 years. It is located in extreme northeastern Turkey, near the borders with Iran and Armenia. Southwest of the main peak lies Little Ararat (12,877 feet, 3896 m). Ahora Gorge is a northeast-trending chasm dropping 6000 feet from the top of the mountain and was the focus of a major earthquake in 1840. A number of claims by different explorers to have found remnants of Noah’s Ark on Mt. Ararat have led to continuing expeditions to the mountain, many of which have focused their searches on the gorge area.

MT.ARARAT 7 DAYS TOUR PROGRAM

Day 1 : Day 1: We meet from Van Airpot,on the way On the way we will stop by the Muradiye waterfalls and enjoy the view with Turkish tea. We will transfer to our hotel in Dogubeyazit.

Day 2 : We transfer to Eli village after breakfast, load the equipment on the mules, climb to 3200 m campsite. Total walk 2-3 hrs. Camp.

Day 3 : Hike up to 4100 m and return to the greencamp (acclimatisation)

Day 4 : Ascending again to 4100 m with a short overnight stay in the tent.

Day 5 : Ararat summit, afterwards return to the green camp.

Day 6 : Transfer back to Dogubeyazit, overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 7 : Transfer to Van Airport,then be and of your tour.

TOUR DATES :
Climb to Ararat (Turkey side) tour can be arrange any dates between June to - 15th September periods year around. Applications: A rule that for foreigner participants all applications must be filled and apply us minimum 2 months ago. We will get your Climbing permits/ Visa from Ankara (Turkish authorities). Please contact us to get your application form.

LEADERSHIP -GUIDING :
Our guides have Mountain Guide certificates from the Turkish Mountaineering Federation. It is necessary to have a licensed mountain guide to climb Mount Ararat. Our guides have extensive experience on the mountains. They have led many groups and will lead you to the summit of the mountain.

NECESSARY PERSONEL EQUIPMENTS
-Personel warm clothes,
-walking or climbing boots,
-Sleeping bag,
-Crampon - walking stick,
-Warm gloves-socks,
-Sun cream and hut sun glasses exs.

MOUNT ARARAT PERMIT :
Ararat is in a sensitive frontier zone; military permission is required to climb it At least two months before you want to climb, you have to apply for permission to the Ministry of Tourism or (if you are abroad) the Turkish Embassy in your country; they forward the application to the military authorities. A copy of your passport and other documents will be required and a permit document will be returned to you.Permission is most easily processed through one of the reputable tourism firms offering climbing expeditions, but even they have to allow two months.

A permit costs is 50 Euros (separate). Medical assistance if required is provided for all tours.You need a permit to climb the mountain. I can arrange to get you in two months.Thanks for your time Mt.Ararat Summit Adventures.
